Local Weather

Tinmusket Guide Outfitters offers you a traditional hunting experience in diverse landscapes, with experienced, knowledgeable guides. Our Guides have extensive Big Game experience and excellent knowledge of the area.

You will be delighted with what you discover, long known for its rugged terrain and inspiring mountain vistas: it's hot semi-desert at the mountain bases, lush temperate bands of boreal forests in the middle and cool steep limestone grades at their peaks. In between the two ranges lies a flat glacial plateau, a former volcanic blain that is interspersed with dense forests and fertile marshland. Great habitat for Moose, Deer, Black Bear, Big Horn Sheep, Cougar, Wolf . . . .

Climate

Summer - June through August
Fall - September through Mid-November
Winter - Mid-November - March
Spring - April & May

The Cariboo is also rich with historical significance, from the earliest nomadic natives to the fortune seekers who traveled through on their quest for gold, all have left their mark. Today many remnants of the past are still evident, serving as quiet reminders of an era all but forgotten.

"We are all travelers in the wilderness of the world and the best that we find in our travels is an honest friend"
{Robert Louis Stevenson}
